Avoid the crowds this New Year
It is never easy deciding what to do on New Year’s Eve. Money is an issue after an expensive Christmas and it can be difficult getting everybody together. In my experience, house parties are the way to go.
Pubs and clubs are bursting at the seams and the entrance fees don’t bear thinking about. The places are that busy that you might even find yourself separated from the group by the time midnight comes around, without a phone signal. That is not the way you want to bring in the New Year.
The simplest and more affordable solution is to have all your friends over for a small party. Better still – convince one of your friends to have it at theirs!
If you do invite friends over, it is more than likely they will bring a drink over. It is better to be safe than sorry, though. Make sure you are adequately stocked up – you won’t find many shops open late on New Year’s Eve!
A crate or two of premium lager, a selection of wine and spirits – that should do the trick. Make sure you cater for the designated drivers as well. They play an important role over New Year so stock up on soft drinks.
If you are debating which beer to go for, I find you can’t go wrong with Foster’s Gold Beer. It is cheaper than the alternatives and goes down easier. Its clean, crisp taste has made it a hit with women, as well as men. It is well worth a try.
So, if you and your friends are stuck for something to do this New Year’s, head down to the supermarket and stock up on supplies. All you need is alcohol and the right company and you have yourself a perfect New Year’s Eve.
