Brocket Hall A Vintage Celebration…
01 Dec 11
A new initiative to be introduced to Brocket Hall this year, the Evenings of Elegance series has proved to be immensely popular, with each evening endorsing a different theme, whilst partnering with a luxury brand or entertainer.
Brocket Hall – the illustrious stately home in Hertfordshire – the former home of two British prime ministers – has only one more of its Evenings of Elegance left to host in 2011, and it has arguably saved the best until last. Sunday 4th December will see the launch of the Vintage 2002 Moët and Chandon Champagne at Brocket Hall, with Guests being treated to a magical house party in the rarefied environment of the Regency hall, with lavish hospitality, traditional butler service and the finest food and wine.
A new initiative to be introduced to Brocket Hall this year, the Evenings of Elegance series has proved to be immensely popular, with each evening endorsing a different theme, whilst partnering with a luxury brand or entertainer.
The first in this series for 2011 was Diamonds and Pearls at Brocket Hall which in February saw the stately home partner with Zelley’s, the jewellery establishment in Bishop’s Stortford, who have positioned themselves as a West End style jeweller situated in the heart of the Home Counties; and Chopard – another leading name associated with the high-end watch and jewellery industry. The two establishments allowed the lucky fifty-two guests in attendance to choose a piece from their collection to wear for the evening.
This event was swiftly followed by The Rat Pack at Brocket Hall – where live jazz music spilled from the magnificent Ballroom of the Grade I listed building, with a wonderful tribute act serenading guests with all the Sinatra classics. It was a spookier theme for Halloween, with a Murder Mystery taking place at Brocket Hall and Guests enjoyed being detectives for the evening.
For this final event of 2011 on December 4th, Executive Head Chef Phil Thompson will be leaving his usual Michelin-starred eatery at Auberge du Lac, to make the short journey across the Broadwater Lake on the 543 acre country estate at Brocket Hall, where he will be serving a 4-course masterpiece, with matching wines and champagnes provided by Moët and Chandon, highlighting the individual occasion of the event.
For Dinner, Guests will be seated at the Prime Minister’s Dining Table, the second longest table in the UK, with the atmosphere being enhanced by an accomplished pianist, playing on the Hall’s original Steinway.
Dinner will be preceded by a selection of Chef’s canapés and a Moët and Chandon sponsored Champagne Reception, in the glorious setting of Brocket Hall’s Morning Room, while overnight accommodation in one of the luxurious classical bedrooms coupled by a traditional butler service successfully rounds off a perfect and unforgettable evening.
